MANILA, Philippines—After 20 years, the Real Estate Service Act (RESA) was signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on June 29.

Republic Act No. 9646, hopes to professionalize and regulate the practice of real estate in the country through the development of technically competent, trained and accountable real estate practitioners in the country.

It all started with three (3) real estate practitioners’ hope of becoming law abiding citizens and being able to contribute something for the development of the local industry.  Realizing eventually, that the only way to go is to set up an association that stands for professionalism, dynamism, trustworthiness and developmental in nature.  Armed with their vision and hope of forming new breed of brokers and practitioners, their quest for “a beginning of something different” is on.

The Philippine Investment Two (SPV-AMC), Inc. thru its Asset(Portfolio) Manager, RAI Realty Services, Inc. (RARSI) will be conducting a Public Sealed Bidding for their Pagadian City Properties.  This will showcase properties located in Pagadian, Buug, Ipil, Kabasalan, Sindangan, Labason, and Dipolog cities. All Sealed Bids should be submitted to RAI Realty Services, Inc., Room 203 JMSG Building, Capistrano-Gaerlan Streets, Cagayan de Oro City on or before May 8, 2009, Friday, 3PM (See attached listing of the properties).

On April 11, 2009, REBAP National President Julius G. Topacio approved and announced via REBAP National groupmail  the newest affiliate member based in Cagayan de Oro City, RAI Realty Services, Inc. 

In Cagayan de Oro City there are now two real estate associations, REBAP and others.  It is good to finally find a home in REBAP said Bong Gorospe, RAI Realty Services, Inc. Managing Associate & COO.

Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines or REBAP is the only association that accepts both natural persons and juridical entities as members.

Exactly 2 weeks after the March 12 Charter Orientation, the REBAP Cagayan de Oro City Charter Officers had their Oath Taking at the Argus Boardroom of Mallberry Suites Business Hotel.

Last March 12, 2009 REBAP National President Julius G. Topacio and VP, Internal Rene Jularbal to meet the movers of REBAP Cagayan de Oro Chapter for a Charter Orientation.

PROPERTY developers are likely to post lower profit margins in the near term as they continue to feel the brunt of higher costs absorbed last year, according to Colliers International Research.

Last December 8, 2008 RAI Realty Services, Inc. became the newest Corporate Member of the Philippine Association of Realty Appraisers (PARA)

This is in compliance with DTI's Bureau Order 30, Series of 2008 Section 2 that states "Effective January 1, 2009, membership in realty service organization shall be mandatory for all licensed real estate practitioners."

It is official. Philippine Investment Two (2) with its servicing firm, Capital Servicing Advisors Phils. inks deal with RAI Realty Services, Inc. to be their Asset Manager for its Visayas and Mindanao assets which they acquired from DBP and UCPB.

The deal was sealed on November 24, 2008, a week after RAI Realy Services presented their Asset Disposal Plan to the Directors of Philippine Investment 2 and Capital Services Group.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is pushing for the passage of the free patent amendment (FPA) and three other bills to be able to implement the land titling reform.

The three other bills that should be passed in support of the land titling reform are the Land Administration Reform Act (LARA), Valuation Reform Act (VRA), and the Real Estate Services Act (RESA).
